Shedding Armor
A space for women learning to soften,
listen to their bodies, and come home to themselves.
Shedding Armor was born from a lived experience.
For years, I carried armor.
Not just emotionally, but physically.
I learned to protect myself by staying busy, staying strong, and pushing through discomfort.
I used food to cope with stress, overwhelm, and emotions I didn’t know how to process.
From the outside, I held it together.
But inside, I felt disconnected from my body and unsure how to trust myself.
Over time, that protection became weight I carried in my body and my nervous system.
I tried to control my habits.
I tried to be disciplined.
But real change didn’t happen until I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it.
Through deep inner work, compassion, and embodiment practices, I began to understand my patterns instead of judging them.
I learned to notice when I was overwhelmed.
I learned to recognize emotional triggers.
I learned to respond differently.
And slowly, something shifted.
I began to shed the armor I had been carrying for years.
Not just emotionally, but physically.
Over time, I released more than 90 pounds from my body.
But more importantly, I released shame, fear, and the belief that I had to protect myself all the time.
That journey changed the way I see healing.
And it changed the way I hold space for others.
Why Shedding Armor Exists
As I shared more openly about my journey,
I began to notice something.
So many women were carrying their own armor.
They were strong.
Capable.
Resilient.
But underneath that strength, they were overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from their bodies.
They were using unhealthy habits to cope.
Holding in emotions.
Pushing through stress.
Trying to manage everything alone.
And they were tired.
Shedding Armor was created as a space where women can begin to understand their patterns, build self-trust, and feel supported as they learn new ways to care for themselves.
Not through restriction.
Not through shame.
Not through willpower.
But through awareness, compassion, and connection.
